I'm a big fan of reflective objects in 3D because you can work with them far easier in a 3D modeling application than you can in a real life photography studio. I designed this robot as a character in a SciFi script I wrote back in the late 90's where it was a part of an army of robots guarding an endangered natural resource. The fire coming through the grate had nothing to do with the storyline, I just thought it would look cool. Other than the background, everything was rendered in the 3D modeling application.
I wanted to test my modeling skills as far as character design would go so I picked two of my favorite videogame characters.
The next character I created was this turkey for Thanksgiving cards I sent out to clients a couple of years ago.
This red car was eventually used in a scene for Gilbarco's Passport manual.
This yellow car is based off of a little race car my son had at the time.
